Upcoming Auction is Going to be Awesome!

Hi Everyone! Angie here for Gitie’s and Gities Auctions. I’m back today with another post highlighting some of the items at this week’s upcoming auction, and it’s going to be a long one with a lot of pictures! So grab your beverage of choice and read on 🙂 To get a better look at the pictures, click on an image to enlarge.

Up first, in my highlights, is a selection of vintage slot machines. Available at the auction is real casino machine and several slot machine banks…and at least one of the banks still has it’s original box!

Next is a collection of vintage and collector pocket watches and vintage advertising items.

Vintage pocket watches

For the fine and performing arts enthusiasts, there are some lovely black and white photo art pieces and a wonderful musical instrument, that I believe is a mandolin.

If you’re looking for some housewares including table ware, silver serving pieces and much more, this week’s auction is full of choices. Highlighted is an entire table setting of coordinating dinnerware, linens and centerpieces; and a lovely set of blue and white kitchen canisters and jars.

Next, a nice selection of vintage figurines and a tray-lot of vintage linens that may include a few vintage hankies.

No auction would be complete without, at least, a few pieces of antique and mid-century furniture.

Finally, a personal favorite of mine, a whole pack of PAWSOME Basset Hounds!

This post contains only a small fraction of the items that will be available at the auction. If you want to see many more, click here. Auction House doors open Friday evening at 5:00 P.M. for preview, with bidding starting promptly at 6:00. See below for this week’s menu of food and beverage items available for purchase.

Until next time, Happy bidding! Angie

Coins, Sports Cards, Stamps and Other Collectibles at This Week’s Auction

Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays! I’m back with a new auction highlight. I’ve been absent for the last month and haven’t been able to attend any auctions, and after seeing the items being auctioned, I’ve missed some great ones 😦 Gitie and her team have been acquiring some fantastic estates and bringing items for everyone! This week’s auction is no different, as you’ll see in the pictures below.

In this post I’ve highlighted coins, stamps, tools, appliances and many other items up for bid, including a couple of primitive- looking items that I have no idea of what they are 🙂

Well that’s it for the highlighted items, but there is so much more on the auction block tonight. Click here to view these and many more items. Even better, come to the auction tonight and see everything up close and in detail. Doors open at 5:00 p.m. for preview, and the auction starts promptly at 6:00.

Hope to see you there! Until next time…happy bidding!!

Whether you decorate and shop for Christmas early, with the season, or last minute Gities and Gitie’s Auctions has decorations and gifts to help. White House Historical Society ornaments make a beautiful addition to your tree, or a thoughtful gift for the collector. Check out a selection of some of the ornaments up for bid.

These bright, nautical-inspired tins would make great gifts for the collector on their own, but they would make an awesome gift card holder as well.

Small tins for the nautical or advertising collector, or anyone who appreciates the bright graphics on these tins.

Vintage buttons, porcelain figurines and new-in-box Lenox make a thoughtful gift for someone on your Christmas shopping list, or yourself. 🙂

If you’re a collector, or know a collector, of Cat’s Meow you’re in for a treat! This week’s auction has a large selection of Cat’s Meow pieces. Take a look at some of the available pieces below.

The pictures above are just a small sampling of the items up for bid tomorrow night. To see these and many more items, please join Gitie tomorrow night at 6:00 p.m. for her Facebook Live auction.

Facebook Live Auction Tomorrow

Hi Everyone! It’s been a couple of weeks since I’ve posted, but I wanted to let everyone know that Gitie has another Facebook Live Auction tomorrow evening! She has a variety of unique items up for bid. Take a look at some pictures of a few of the items below, and if you’d like to see more head over to her FB page.

First up, a couple of art pieces, with at least one from a local artist. Both pieces are of Colonial Beach, the one on the left is of the boardwalk and beach. The piece on the right looks like a photo taken, during a storm, on Monroe Bay.

Next is a large collection of fantastically detailed birds carved out of stone and crystal.

Check out these intricate molds! I’m not sure what they’re used for, shortbread, or metal pouring maybe??? If you know, please leave a comment at the bottom of this post.

There is also a beautiful, vintage mini cocktail set housed in a set of books; and a tortoise colored bakelite case that could be used as a purse, make-up or art case, or as I would use it a sewing box 🙂

Rounding out this post are cast-iron toys, vintage advertising, knife with leather holder, antique gun powder flask, and a lovely fully-painted miniature portrait.

I hope you saw something that interested you, and will join Gitie tomorrow night at 6:00 P.M. when she goes live!
